Appropedia:Project branding

From Appropedia

Some projects in Appropedia feature their own logo and branding (example). This page describes how to prepare and request your own logo and branding for your project.

Requirements

[edit | edit source]
  • Project category - Appropedia will display your branding based on a project category. All pages in the category will have your branding, and all pages outside the category will not. Create a category for your project (example) and categorize all the relevant pages in it, preferably through a template such as a notice or menu (example).
  • Project logo - Upload your logo in an horizontal or square version, with a permissive license and preferably in SVG format (example). The logo will display with a final height of 42 pixels (and proportional width), so make sure it looks ok at that size and that the words (if any) are legible.
  • Project homepage - This will be the page where users will be directed when clicking the project logo (example).

Procedure

[edit | edit source]

Once all the requirements are ready, make a request at the Village pump or to User:Emilio or User:Sophivorus directly, including links to the category, logo and homepage. Once reviewed, a rule will be added to the Appropedia extension to display your branding in all pages in your project category.
