Some projects in Appropedia feature their own logo and branding (example). This page describes how to prepare and request your own logo and branding for your project.
Requirements[edit | edit source]
- Project category - Appropedia will display your branding based on a project category. All pages in the category will have your branding, and all pages outside the category will not. Create a category for your project (example) and categorize all the relevant pages in it, preferably through a template such as a notice or menu (example).
- Project logo - Upload your logo in an horizontal or square version, with a permissive license and preferably in SVG format (example). The logo will display with a final height of 42 pixels (and proportional width), so make sure it looks ok at that size and that the words (if any) are legible.
- Project homepage - This will be the page where users will be directed when clicking the project logo (example).
Procedure[edit | edit source]
Once all the requirements are ready, make a request at the Village pump or to User:Emilio or User:Sophivorus directly, including links to the category, logo and homepage. Once reviewed, a rule will be added to the Appropedia extension to display your branding in all pages in your project category.
