Anti-drug campaigns in the Philippines
As soon as President Rodrigo Duterte assumed office in 2016, the Philippine government launched a nationwide antidrug campaign based on enforcement-led anti-illegal drugs policies primarily implemented by the national police.
Types

There are four main groups of drugs, divided according to their major effects, plus a few substances that do not easily fit into any category.
The main categories are:
- Stimulants (e.g. cocaine)
- Depressants (e.g. alcohol)
- Opium-related painkillers (e.g. heroin)
- Hallucinogens (e.g. LSD)
Prevention
[edit | edit source]How can you prevent drugs? Know your triggers!
- Avoiding places where you know drugs and alcohol will be available.
- Surrounding yourself with friends who don't use drugs.
- Knowing how to resist temptation.
- Learning how to cope with stress and relax without drugs.
- Distracting yourself with activities like exercise or listening to music.
