I got the barrels for the [[Occidental_Greywater]] system from a cannery. I think the particular barrels I used originally contained vinegar. It's a waste product for the cannery, but there is enough reuse interest that they usually sell them. [[User:GoodSignal|GoodSignal]] 19:47, 30 March 2012 (PDT) |

Hello. I am new to this so bear with me. I purchased a farm in Texas and the Farm House has a Grey Water system that just spills the waste water from all the appliances and drains (Except Toilet) to the back of the house and above ground. There is a lake on my property and this waste water is spilling out faily close to the creek that feeds the lake. I am concerned with polution, odor and wasting water.
I read the posting www.appropedia.org/Occidental_greywater and what the builder of this system has (Chris???) is perfect for what I need in order to fix the system I have. I want to re-use the waste water to irrigate and possibly to use to flush the toilet running to the septic.
I have looked all over the Web and cannot find the type of barrel used in this system. Can anyone point me to a place where I can get those barrels? I have seen many others I can use, but thise seem ideal....
