Inexpensive Display System

At negligible cost, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) can create an attractive display of objects and text using modular units made from sticks and steel wires. This display system is easy to build and transport. The construction is based on the Demo Camp Units.

Why

NGOs with limited budgets should still be able to transmit their message to the public in an eye-catching and attractive way. This free-standing modular exhibit system should compete with those commercially available in terms of ease of construction, flexibility of design, and minimization of weight and dimensions when stored.

How

A modular display system is set up from identical sticks and metal cross-wires, forming towers and cubes. They interconnect in a free-to-choose way. Transparent folders containing graphics can be hooked onto these elements. Objects can be suspended within.

Materials

  • Steel wire (gauge 2,0 mm) for hooks; cost, about 100 Euro per 25 kg, 50 meters of wire per kg
  • Steel wire (gauge 0,5 mm) for cross-wires
  • Select wire of a hard quality (springy, not easy to bend)
