Background

[edit | edit source]

Zu Zan Thein Tun is an engineer with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and professional experience in electrical engineering, renewable energy systems, and offshore wind engineering. Her academic and professional work focuses on system-level analysis of renewable energy integration, with particular interest in digital twin frameworks and multi-source renewable energy systems.

She is currently working as a project engineer on offshore wind farm projects in Taiwan, where she supports electrical engineering tasks, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination across engineering teams. Her role involves system integration, interface coordination, and support for electrical design and analysis activities. Previously, she worked on electrical infrastructure projects and solar energy and power system development.

Zu Zan Thein Tun is the author of a peer-reviewed IEEE conference paper examining the grid integration of floating solar photovoltaic systems with existing hydropower plants in Myanmar. During her master’s studies, she was inducted as an Honorary Member of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society in recognition of academic excellence. Her research interests include integrated renewable energy planning, uncertainty-aware modelling, and open-source, reproducible approaches to sustainable energy system development.
