Hello! My Name is Joseph Turitto I am a transfer student in mechanical engineering with a strong background in education, robotics, and design work.
2023-Present: For the past 3 years I have worked at Hands On Technology Education as a STEM Educator in the greater San Diego area. Bringing a tactile approach to kids across the county giving kids 8-14 an opportunity to get their hands on real tech and be able to reason with introductory programming, robotics, engineering, and eSports, and virtual reality curriculums.
2025-Present: As well I have had the pleasure of working with a team of talented nano-scientists at Atmosense as a Mechanical Engineering intern. While they bring together all of the big ideas and super small science, I solve normal sized problems like creating and programming testing apparatuses for the gas sensors, designing special in house tooling, and making enclosures for customer releases.
My top 3 skills in relation to this class are proficiency in CAD (Onshape, Solidworks, Siemens NX), use of machinery (Hand Tools to CNC Mill/Router/Lathe and many things between) and leadership (helped run a team of ~100 in the FIRST Robotics Competition 2022-23).
