I am a Mechanical Engineering Student at Cal Poly Humboldt. I am interested in Marine Robotics Engineering. Hopefully this will lead to research in the field.

School of Engineering Student Association President --

Leading and representing the engineering student community. Responsibilities include overseeing club operations, coordinating events, and fostering collaboration among students, faculty, and industry professionals. I also promote professional development, organize outreach activities, and ensure alignment with university and ASCE objectives.

Ocean Worlds SCUBA Diver/ Tour Guide --

Evaluate water quality in all habitats, requiring me to use and maintain scientific equipment regularly. Clean and maintain large aquatic exhibits while operating on SCUBA. This requires strict following of safety protocols, careful monitoring of environmental conditions, and hands-on troubleshooting and reengineering of equipment to ensure the best habitats possible. As a tour guide, I work closely with coworkers, trainers, and other SCUBA divers to deliver the best possible experience for guests. Ensuring compliance with safety rules while maintaining exemplary customer service.

Diet and Aging of the White-Spotten Ratfish --

Designed and implemented a research proposal. Coordinating work between research assistants and professors. With approximately 50 White Spotted Ratfish in my project, we aim to determine their diet through a diet analysis and to develop a method for reliably aging them based on the rings in their vertebrae.
