My wikilife started at Wikipedia:User:Robin Patterson but it's now mostly based at Wikia. Doubtless some readers of this page are acquainted with and (If not, why not?)

Spam patrol whenever I have time (which can be several times most days)

I may be persuaded to add this site to the above list if it links properly with Wikia or is at least highly compatible in software terms. It looks good after the first 10 minutes' examination.

Welcome[edit source]

Hi Robin,

Very exciting to have you here. I look forward to reviewing the feedback you have already left, and any future input you have. As for your linking with Wikia questions, we employ a large adaptable interwiki map allowing for a link such as [[Wikia:Genealogy:Special:Recentchanges]] to bring you to Wikia:Genealogy:Special:Recentchanges. You might also be interested in our {{SCA}} template, which aims at directing Sustainable Community Action type contributions to that site. See Australia for an example.

Thank you, --Lonny 09:30, 27 May 2007 (PDT)

Thank you[edit source]

Hi Robin,

Thanks for responding to my request at your WP page! I apologize for my disappearing act after that. I promised to get our 501(c)(3) filing done...and I almost succeeded. Just another hour or two, and it's in the mail.

In any case, I think you have some excellent suggestions regarding tracking the Category structure of Wikipedia. We started to go that way, then found that some categories did not exist, etc, but since then I think many of them have arrived, and in any case we should use the Wikipedia categories wherever possible.

I sure hope to see you now and then (or even more). There are many activities going on behind the scenes that will mean big growth in content and user base, and we really need to have a solid infrastructure to support the growth. Your kind of help would be invaluable!
