About Me

[edit | edit source]

Hi! I’m Maya Lekhi, a Computer Science and Business student at Western University and the Ivey Business School. I care deeply about mental health, open access, and building technology that makes people feel seen. My journey into tech started with a fascination for how psychology and data intersect. I’ve since worked at Meta, TD Bank, Mercor, and Borealis AI, and led youth organizations that empower thousands.

Background

[edit | edit source]
  • Founder of Momentum — London's coworking community for makers of all kinds
  • Research assistant at Castellani Lab - research in mitochondrial bioinformatics
  • Machine Learning Intern at Borealis AI — built large-scale infrastructure for LLMs
  • Fellow at Contrary Research - writing about impactful private tech companies
  • President of Project 5K — mobilized 3,500+ youth for social impact
  • Open-source contributor — affective computing, design, and free digital tools
  • Former French tutor and founder of a five-figure educational business

Interests

[edit | edit source]

I’m especially interested in:
