Md. Saifur Rahman

Background[edit | edit source]

I am Md. Saifur Rahman, I have completed my graduation by securing 5th position from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Dhaka. Now, I am doing my master's degree in Applied Physics and Material Science track in the aforementioned department. My final year project is in buffer layer deposition of the thin film heterojunction solar cell. I deposited Zn(O,S) buffer layer by chemical bath deposition as an alternative to CdS buffer layer on the solid state lab of Bangladesh Energy Center, Dhaka. I wanted to see the effect of rinsing the deposited film with ammonia water. My subject GPA on solid state physics, material science, nanomaterial are impressive as a testimony towards my enthusiasm towards Electronic Devices especially photonics material. For my master's thesis, I will be working on nanotech lab of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology on the topic of reduced graphene oxide/CdZnS nanocomposites for hydrogen generation.

Apart from being a material enthusiastic, I am electronic hobbyist too. I, alongside with my classmates opened a club named "Electro-surge" in my junior year. Every now and then we worked on some projects like "Self Balancing Robot" and Low-Cost Computer Numerical Control Machine". From those projects, I was able to enrich my knowledge of controlling the automated system.
