Senior Mechanical Engineering Student at Michigan Tech. New to open source 3D printing and look forward to learning.
I am an Engineering professional with a Bachelor of Science in the field of Mechanical Engineering and over a year of cooperative and internship experience. I am continually challenging myself to learn, prepare, and organize to obtain professional success. In my year in the manufacturing setting, I challenged myself to learn the practices of LEAN, Continuous Improvement, and OSHA protocol, in the effort to better my abilities to solve problems with confidence and haste.
Past Work Relevant to Appropedia[edit | edit source]
Vice President of the Alternative Energy Enterprise at Michigan Technological University. I have worked on a few teams relating to what Appropedia's mission entails. I worked on a Geo-thermal Feasibility team last semester, which was determining if we could use mine water to heat and cool a 1 million sq foot facility. This semester my team and I are researching a hydro-electric generator for the DNR in the lower peninsula. This project will start with large scale research then develop into a small scale prototype in which we intend to deliver to the DNR upon completion.
