My name is Jacob and my pronouns are they/them. I am currently a mechanical engineering student at Cal Poly Humboldt. One of my classes for the Fall 2024 semester is Engineering 205: Introduction to Design.
- I have an interest in transportation technologies of all kinds, and I enjoy learning how to maintain my car and dirt bike.
- I have a passion for music and a large CD collection. I am fascinated by the technology involved in music recording, storage, and reproduction.
- I have been intrigued by technologies that enable more efficient uses of resources, especially energy, for as long as I can remember. This dovetails with my deep concern for the human and environmental costs of climate change. One of my long term goals is to work in a sustainability field.
Above all, I foster a deep love of learning and seek to gain valuable knowledge, skills, and experience from my education and resources such as Appropedia.
