- Creating self-sustaining independent energy systems with minimal ecological impact.
- Developing practical simple devices for deployment in underdeveloped areas.
- Getting other people excited about the future and technological advancements.

- Made an automatic tennis ball launcher ("The Fetch 3000") for a science project.
- Assembled and maintained my own computer.
- Created a portable bicycle-powered generator on a 4-person team over 3 months.
- Partially assembled and maintained my high school's auditorium sound system.
