- Name: Jodi Hart
I am an Ethnic Studies major graduating this spring. I consider the information I am learning in my major essential to deconstructing the discursive dynamics of power and privilege that operate within our oppressive and racist society and vow to constantly be aware of my own participation within this system in order to shift its trajectory. Personal revolution is the first step in any revolution.
My current loves are my work as a massage therapist, worm composting, and social theory. One of my most fun adventures was a 10 week bike trip from Anchorage Alaska to Portland Oregon.

Experience in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]
- I have bits of experience in many different areas. Years ago I worked with an organization in Guatemala called Maya Pedal for three months learning to build bike powered machines. We constructed blenders, maize and coffee grinders roof tile settlers, and water pumps for outlying communities.
- I worked as a bike mechanic for over 5 years and taught classes as well.
- I have worked on farms growing food, raised chickens, built small solar ovens and a shower, cob benches, welded bike carts and park benches from trashed bike frames, converted diesel trucks to veggie oil.....
