My name is Drake Newell. I work as a student assistant in the Cal Poly Humboldt Library Makerspace. Specifically, I focus on the 3D modeling and 3D printing aspects of the makerspace, including 3D printing student model requests. I am currently involved in Appropedia through assignments in ENGR308 (Technology and the Environment) at Cal Poly Humboldt. I love approaching maker culture as a larger theory of social change.
- 3D printing
- Making stuff!
- politics
- music
- the environment
ENGR308 is the first appropriate-technology-related class I have taken at Cal Poly Humboldt, so my experience is limited, other than my belief and experience in the general maker ethos.
