My name is David Leng Malle, I am 18 years old, and my ethnicity is Hmong. I was born in Maplewood, Minnesota and then moved to Eureka, California when I was 7 years old. My hobbies include playing tennis and volleyball, reading books and manga, and watching YouTube videos about robotics, videogames, and cooking. I also like to go on walks around campus, the forest, or just random places because I like to explore and see the scenery as I walk around and it also makes for some good exercise. Growing up, I always liked working with my hands and building random things, whether it was from Legos, electronics, paper, wood, or plastic. During my years in Eureka High School I took engineering, woodworking, welding, auto, and mechanics, I tried to take as many classes that I could that required hands-on learning because I would rather get dirty and get some hands-on experience than sit in a desk in a boring classroom all day. Now that I am at Cal Poly Humboldt, I hope to gain more skills and experience and to learn more about how to become a successful engineer.
