David Wybourne is the COO of software company Fissara, delivery partner to Amodisc and a consulting advisor to Amodisc board, for the Operation Smile project for GSTC.

Born and educated in New Zealand before moving to the UK, he did short service with the British Army, training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. For the next 30 years, he has had a successful career in business building and selling a number of businesses of his own as well as working in senior management in the private sector.

Since then he has delivered growth programs for a variety of businesses at C-Level across varied sectors including IBM, BDO, private equity firms Maven Capital Partners, 24 Haymarket and UK government British Business Bank and Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.

His specialty is understanding how technology can deliver efficiencies and growth in business. With particular interest in machine learning and AI, he has been a guest speaker at a number of events including the Legal Week Strategic Technology Forum, attended by the world's largest law firms. He has led teams delivering technology solutions for some of the world's biggest firms including Samsung, LG, Telefonica, Sky, and the UKs emergency services network.

He is an award-winning business leader, including Management Team of Year for RBS business awards for growth strategic planning, an Alumni of Said Business School Oxford and, throughout his engagements, has a proven track record of delivering solutions to the enterprise and charity sectors.

Much of his youth was spent living in the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa where exposure to low resource settings and austere living conditions left a lasting impression. It is this experience that drives his desire to help develop solutions for the GSTC and make a difference to as many lives as possible.
