[edit | edit source]I am a researcher, designer and civil/structural engineer. As of 2023, I’m studying for a PhD in Degradation Mechanisms of Heritage Architectural Terracotta, and is looking to move into full time material research. I have previously worked as a bridge designer, and I’m interested in ways to reduce the carbon impact of infrastructure creation, maintenance and renewal. There is an interesting point when cutting-edge low carbon materials; heritage materials; and resilient decentralised supplies meet, and that is where I’d like to be working.

I’m active on LinkedIn, and I’ve been acting in support of different engineer/architect and building surveyors who are faced with terracotta material problems on their site. I am always happy to collaborate on academic papers – where people need technical support in 3d printing, computational architecture, or putting structural analysis to work within their topology optimisation workflow.
