Who Am I?[edit | edit source]
My name is Coulter Taylor and I am an Industrial Technology major currently attending HSU, scheduled to graduate spring 08. I graduated from Vista High, in the San Diego Area in 2001 and have lived in Arcata, attending Humboldt State since. I have a fiancée named Sharon and we are getting married in the fall of 09.
Interests in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]
I am interested in everything that has to do with residential housing. I like alternative building supplies, such as straw bail, rammed earth brick, paper-create, and recycled sidewalks. Alternative energy sources especially micro hydro and wind. Also I would like to know more about alternative insulation sources and ways of conserving energy. Also rainwater catchment is very interesting.
Experience in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]
I have no direct experience, however I have plenty of construction background. I have worked on a few remodels on homes, and I have also build a few from the ground up. I can wire a house, I frame a house, I can hang drywall, paint, finish, you name it, I can do it or figure out how tot. Also I was a landscaper for 3 years where I did it all from tare out, to installation, and finally maintenance.
