Interests in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]
My Interest in Appropriate Technology is to learn how to make sustainable progress. I am interested in how things work. I am especially interested in permiculture and community gardening. I would also like to gain experience in rain water catchment systems, solar panels and grey water.
Experience in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]
My experience in AT began in 2005, when I stayed on an Eco-Village in Mexico. The village was called Huehuecoyotl. It was here I first started to learn about things such as compost toilets, grey water marshes and rainwater catchment systems. I also took a class entitled "Leadership for Social Change" and learned about the consensus method of decision making, while I was there. I took many classes on community agriculture, both at HSU and Umass-Amherst. I have learned so much and am thankful for those who have taught me all these great things about AT.
