Hello! :)
My name is Artemis and I am a first-year engineering at Western University aspiring to make the world a better place!
Thank you for stumbling onto my user page and I hope you enjoy it!
In my ES1050 course in 2023-2024, I had the pleasure of working alongside 5 fellow engineering students to create an economically viable as well as environmentally sustainable solution for Youth Opportunities Unlimited! I was responsible for creating C.A.R.R.O.T., which had the ability to regulate how much water different sections of a garden received, helping our client improve their water efficiency and increase crop yield!
In the summer of 2024, I had the pivotal opportunity to engage in undergraduate research work at Western University through my "After the Whistle" project, which greatly contributed to my development as an aspiring engineer. I worked under the supervision and support of Kevin McGuire within the Thompson Centre for Engineering Leadership and Innovation. I funded my project by applying for and successfully receiving the John M. Thompson Innovation Fund valued at $1,570.
