- MEOW - The MEOW (Mobile Energy Operations wagon) has been used to provide sustainable electricity to the HSU community since 2003. It has photovoltaic (PV) panels, battery bank, inverter and bicycles for electricity generation and storage.
- YURT - CCAT Yurt is a permanent structure with weatherproofed canvas roof and wooden walls. It was constructed in 1970's by a group of students and has a solar PV panel, a battery for energy storage and LED lighting.
