Autobiography[edit | edit source]

Hello! My name is Alexis Pascaris and I am a graduate student at Michigan Technological University studying Environmental & Energy Policy. I hold a B.S. in Environmental Studies & Sustainability from Michigan State University with a concentration in Environmental Economics. I am currently serving as a Research Assistant to Dr. Joshua Pearce in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering where together with others we are working on a new agrivoltaics concept: Dual-Use Photovoltaic and Pasture-Raised Rabbit Farms. I am affiliated with Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Lab. Previously, I have held an internship at the Michigan Environmental Council in Lansing, Michigan, working to drive the environmental agenda through innovative policy solutions and look forward to continuing the movement towards sustainable life on Earth through research and service. Beyond graduate school, I envision my career playing a direct role in increasing the use of clean, low-cost, renewable energy while simultaneously fostering community sustainability.
