ATIQ BASHA K did Masters from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing. A dual programme B-Tech Mechanical Engineering with specialisation Design and Manufacturing + M-Tech Advance Manufacturing. His final year project was in Additive Manufacturing field. To design and develop a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) low cost Micro Dispensing Direct Write (DW) system using Progressive Cavity Displacement (PCD) pump for Conformal Antenna fabrication using copper ink. Currently working as a Project Fellow at CMTI Bangalore, India. Working on research and development projects in Additive Manufacturing field. His experience working in the industries allowed him to diversify his expertise, perform various roles, and complete projects on time. He has utilised his keen attention in detail to converting designs into production.

Final Year Project (Jan 2019 – April 2019)
To design and develop a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) low cost Micro Dispensing Direct Write (DW) system using Progressive Cavity Displacement (PCD) pump for Conformal Antenna fabrication using copper ink. Prepared conductive copper ink material to dispense using Chemical displacement reaction. Designed Pumping Element Geometry which includes rotor design and stator design. Developed 3D CAD model of dispenser. (AUTODESK FUSION 360) Developed a prototype model of Progressive Cavity Pump Dispenser to generate a tiny droplet of highly precise volume at the dispensing tip and control flow of the liquid. Integrated the developed dispenser with 3 axis motion controller. Experimental tests were carried out for the developed Prototype model.

Designed and developed a prototype model of DO-IT-YOURSELF (DIY) low cost “MICRO DISPENSING DIRECT WRITE (DW) SYSTEM” using plunger pump mechanism for various applications like printing of electronic components, antennas, sensors, in micro fluids dispensing. Fabricating and building a working model of Micro Dispenser and integrating with 3 axis motion controller.

Designed, Optimized and built a working model of Automated leg Massager under the guidance of Prof. Chandrasekaran C IIITDM Kancheepuram. Designed and developed a 3D model Optimized the model based on different factors like cost, aesthetics, weight, effectiveness, etc. Fabricating and building a working model of an automated leg massager.
Heat Exchanger (Nov 2016)
Design and Fabrication of a Heat Exchanger and study the performance of pipe in pipe (double pipe) heat exchanger (co-current arrangement) under the guidance of Dr JAYAVEL S Assistant Professor IIITDM Kancheepuram as a lab project. Hands on experience in fabricating and building a model of a Heat exchanger. Analyzing the temperature variation along the length of the pipes.
An Assistant for Physically Handicapped (Aug 2015- April 2016)
Developed a concept of an intelligent product that assists physically handicapped in picking things in the close vicinity. This project mainly focuses on applying designing intelligent systems principles and sociological perspectives of design to reduce the difficulties faced by physically handicapped people in the home.

Developed a prototype model of an automated door using PIR sensors as a course project.
1st prize in Mechathon event conducted by SAMGATHA 2015 at IIITDM Kancheepuram. 1st prize in Art Carving challenge in Samgatha IIITDM Kancheepuram 2015. 1ST prize in Designception event conducted by Samgatha techno festival IIITDM Kancheepuram 2017. 3rd prize in Project X competition conducted as a part of ‘National Science Day’ on 27th Feb 2017 at IIITDM Kancheepuram 2017.
