Liquid latex (also known as red liquid latex, latex milk, rubber latex, or liquid latex rubber) is a pourable natural-rubber emulsion that dries in thin coats to a flexible film. The Soft Tissue Lesion Simulator calls for it: in its wound-debridement model a large sponge is cut to represent wounded skin and tissue, vinyl pieces are placed in the cuts to represent wound debris, and the model is painted with red liquid latex to represent blood.[1]

| Blood | Soft Tissue Lesion Simulator | In the wound-debridement model a large sponge is cut to represent wounded skin and tissue, vinyl pieces are placed in the cuts to represent wound debris, and the model is painted with red liquid latex to represent blood. The source's cost table puts the liquid latex at US$0.36 of that model's US$1.17 per unit.[1] |
