"CC-BY would let you sell improved versions of the design, license these derivative works under which ever license you choose - even an all rights reserved Copyright, which is the default license if there's no other license note - so long as you credit me for the original work AND would let you sue anyone (even me - the author of the original design) who makes a copy of your improvements."
- The quote (in its original form) misses one important issue about CC-BY - that the derivative work can be relicensed under any license. (Bold text is my suggestion for adjustment. It's a bit long but makes the point. Feel free to include the point to the text). --Jaakko Helleranta 19:55, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- That is a clearer explanation. The page needs to be rewritten, with your suggestion in mind, and the comments there now should be moved here, to the talk page. --Chriswaterguy 23:55, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
