Dark Net There are different definitions of the Dark net described, but the difference is not made clear. Also there are different explanations about how the dark net works (peer to peer or zentral, or a mix?).
Yes, you are right, as it is, it is really mixed up and confusing, I lack the knowledge to sort... --Sabrina B. (talk) 00:54, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- You’re right, a lot of articles about the Dark Net mix up concepts like peer-to-peer, centralized servers, and hybrid models, which makes it confusing. In reality, different darknet services use different architectures – for example, Tor is layered routing through nodes, while some P2P-style networks work differently.
- I had the same confusion when I first started reading about it, and I noticed it’s kind of like when you compare security apps – some are centralized cloud-based while others are direct P2P connections. For example, with ycc365 plus and ycc365 plus similar apps, each app may use a slightly different backend method but the end-user just sees “remote access.”
- So, it really depends on the underlying tech, but yes – the explanations online could definitely be clearer. Cmg 123 (talk) 09:01, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
