I have decided to move this page to Appropedia:Incubator/Composting_latrines because I do not feel that the term really means anything. As the recent GIZ report states:
In India and South America, UDDTs are often referred to as composting latrines. The term is misleading, however, as the treatment of faeces in UDDTs does not include a substantial composting process
There is some information which might be retrieved from this page, but in my view it should be merged with information on Composting_toilets as there is no real reason to think of composting latrines as a thing outwith of composting toilets. Joeturner 03:04, 4 March 2013 (PST)
