Citation templates

Let's try to invoke Wikipedia's Wikipedia:Template:Cite web, which seems better than Appropedia's Template:Cite web.

Using an Appropedia template with a reference[1] generated by Citer. Horrible.

Template:Reflist

The same reference[2], with minor manual tweaks: "website -> work" and "access-date -> accessdate". A bit better, but the URL is still needlessly displayed.

Template:Reflist

Trying to use the Citer reference[3] while invoking the Wikipedia template.

Template:Reflist

The interwiki links do not seem to work for templates.

Let's try template redirection.[4]

Template:Reflist

Second-order redirection?[5]

Template:Reflist

Back to interwiki link: maybe this can be made to work using "scary transcluding".

Directly modifying the template:[6] Template:Reflist

The problem has been discussed in the past. The code that prints the URL a second time is at the end of Template:Citation/core.

Update: A change of that template solves the problem, which may no longer be visible in the examples above.
