What types of site do we want to search?

• online knowledge (learning, teaching and training),
• collaborative taxonomies across research and action, and
• online publishing / knowledge distribution.

What specific sites do we want to search?

• Appropedia
• Wikipedia articles that contain key terms such as:
  • "appropriate technology"
  • "sustainable design"

academic research pursuits (Forum on Science and Innovation for Sustainable Development, The University Network for Social Entrepreneurship),

• Education: OpenCourseWare sites (or call the OCW Finder engine?), Connexions, IJSLE
• technologies (OAN, Enabling Innovations?
• active groups that have writeups, blogs etc: broader focus that may include one or all of the others and application of knowledge (EWB, ESW, Appropedia).
• highly relevant (tech oriented) blogs. WC & treehugger for a lighter custom search.
