Hi Racheal, I'm Joe and I'm an Admin here. Can you tell me where you got the images from that you recently uploaded? We usually link to a source in the image description. It isn't usually possible to change licenses from the source, so unless you took the photos yourself or the source explicitly states that the image can be used commercially, it often cannot. Nothing to worry about though, many useful images are available to be used under creative commons licences, we just try to ensure that they are properly attributed.
I'm looking forward to reading more about your project at Humboldt. All the best and thanks for contributing to the Appropedia community. Joeturner 01:47, 5 April 2013 (PDT)
Joeturner, I found these images through Google with the filter "free to use, share or modify, even commercially". I'm terribly sorry for uploading these images incorrectly. I was uncertain what to put as the license, so I went with the default. This is my first time doing this, so everything is still relatively new to me. I'm not even sure that I am responding to you correctly. I decided I don't want to use three of the images, but I don't know how to delete them. These images are The Earth, the Meditazione, and the farmer and tractor images. Please let me know if you need anything more. Rae21 11:59, 5 April 2013 (PDT)

- Alternative Energy-http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Alternative_Energies.jpg
Hi again, no problem, I can delete the images you do not need - are you saying you only want the Lester Brown image? I will edit the image page to give the source. Problem solved :-) Joeturner 13:14, 6 April 2013 (PDT)
Sorry, that was a serious typo :( the Meditazione, the Alternative energy, and the farmer and tractor images were the ones that I wanted to delete, not the other two. I'm terribly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for helping me!! :) Rae21 17:45, 6 April 2013 (PDT)
- All done :) If you look at the image pages, you can see the kind of information it is good to add about uploaded images. eg see File:The_Earth_seen_from_Apollo_17.jpg Let me know if there is anything else I can help with Joeturner 01:45, 8 April 2013 (PDT)
Hi Rae21, good to have you here, and I'm glad that Joeturner has been able to help you out. Hope you have a good experience here and find Appropedia useful. --Chriswaterguy 06:43, 9 April 2013 (PDT)
Welcome to the Appropedia wiki! If you need a general wiki-tutorial, see the main help page (or the more in-depth one on WikiEducator).
Check your preferences. It's a good idea to verify your email address and turn on email notification - then you'll be notified when you get a message on your talk page, or when any page on your watchlist, is modified. You may want to upload a photo or information about yourself to your userpage (which is at User:Rae21).
If you have a particular interest or project in mind, go ahead and start it! If you have questions or suggestions, the best place to leave them is at our community discussion page, which we call the Village pump - you should get a fast response. Or, feel free to leave me a note on my talk page if you have further questions, need help finding your way around, have a cool idea for a project, or just want to chat. If you just want to know how things work here, check out Appropedia:Policies and Appropedia:FAQ. We're a relaxed and friendly bunch though, and you can also just pick things up as you go.
Glad to have you here!
