Hi. I am Satyam Verma. An undergrad student at York university doing a Biomedical program.

Hi, I am Satyam Verma. I am an undergrad student at York university enrolled in the Biomedical program. I am interested in doing research in Resilience and Alternative Food Projects and where I can help the world by finding practical low-cost ways of producing food and a rapid way of distributing it. I have good background knowledge of biology as I am in the Biomed program. Moreover, I have lab and research experiences from my lab-related course work such as biology, chemistry, etc., and from my research practicum at York. Research practicum is 0 credit course and students do it out of their interest to learn lab and research skills by working/researching under a supervisor from the university. Furthermore, I have volunteered in many different religious communities (such as Hinduism, Sikhism, etc.) primarily in the food-making and distributing section. Due to these background knowledge and experience, I am interested in doing Resilience and Alternative Food Projects with Dr. Pearce in the summer.

I am a non-UWO undergrad student, willing to do research in summer at UWO, and I am aware of the fact that I will have to apply for my own funding. That is being taken care of by the NSERC if I get an acceptance from you, Dr. Pearce.
