My interests lie primarily in the area of light metals. I'm currently investigating magnesium with a focus on developing bulk alloys that can be used in a bioabsorbable capacity. That is, implants that go away after a while instead of sticking around inside you indefinitely and setting off metal detectors at the worst times.
