- I'm an Environmental Resources Engineering student at Cal Poly Humboldt, and I am originally from San Diego, CA. I am especially interested in renewable energy and eager to expand my knowledge so that I can eventually design and create things that improve lives and protect our planet.
Interests in Engineering[edit | edit source]
- I have always been really interested in mechanical engineering but realized that my passion was to use my career to help the environment, so ERE was the perfect fit for me.
- I find energy (or energineering as I like to call it) super fascinating and plan on focusing on this furing my time at HSU.
- I also really love math, problem solving and hands on building.
Experience in Engineering[edit | edit source]
- In my senior year of high school I took an introductory course to engineering where we learned about electrical engineering and how to code in Python.
- My uncle is an electrical engineer so he gives me advice for my classes and we often discuss what kinds of thing an engineer does in the field. He has been an amazingly useful resource.
- Other than that, much of my experience leading up to wanting to be an engineer involved being my house's designated handy woman because I really like to fix and build things for the house.
