My Reason For Being Here[edit | edit source]
I'm a nerd and a creator looking for others who are interested in science and technology that would like to develop ideas relating to making efficient, well built, long lasting, customizable, modular, appropriate technologies relating to home appliances including refrigerators, dehumidifiers, clothes driers, water heaters, home heat pumps and any other appliances that can have a real and lasting effect on people's lives. If something should come out of these projects, I hope to also develop alternative strategies of distribution that would help produce wide spread adoption without the use of patents, artificial scarcity, competitive markets, planned obsolescence or any other outdated and destructive practice of capitalism. We need creative people good with thermodynamic principles, HVAC, electronics, general tools, carpentry, computer programming or really anyone just curious who might have an idea on how to improve household appliances. We can all learn something.
