Fixing this template[edit source]
I plan to update this template and make it work, as part of my template porting project. See User:Teratornis/Tasks#Citation templates. Several pages are trying to use this template. These pages look like articles copied from Wikipedia. Many if not most Wikipedia articles use citation templates,W so having a working set of them on Appropedia will make it easier to import content from Wikipedia. --Teratornis 00:31, 11 January 2011 (PST)
Thank you[edit source]
Agreed -- this will be very helpful - and also set things up for more advanced searching in the future -- thank you! --Joshua 06:39, 11 January 2011 (PST)
- Thank you for confirming my conjecture that the community needs these templates. I should be able to implement them properly when I get some small help from the site administrators (to enable subpages in the Template: namespace, and add the
template-documentation
style class to MediaWiki:Common.css). --Teratornis 11:07, 11 January 2011 (PST)- I have these citation templates working correctly in my personal (offline) wiki, so I don't expect any problems making them work here. --Teratornis 11:11, 11 January 2011 (PST)
- I ported over the {{Citation}} template stack, and now {{Cite book}} seems work here. For example:
- Cooper, Mendel (2010-03-17). "Chapter 19. Here Documents". Advanced Bash-Scripting Guide. Retrieved 2011-01-06.
- Let me know if there are any problems with this template. --Teratornis 22:43, 27 January 2011 (PST)
