Including a picture of the apparatus would be helpful in visualizing how the process works. You’ve referenced some of the text but you need to reference more of it. You should try to include each reference you used at least once in the text.
You need to perform a more in depth energy analysis as was discussed in class. Pick one situation or manufacturing of a specific gear and show the differences between other methods and the laser hardening method. Try to justify where all of your values came from. While doing this try to prove and point out why this method is better than other currently used methods.
If you could include something about how long this process takes compared with others I feel that it would be a useful comparison.
