I think we should delete the details of the rectifiers and how to use them to make a power supply, or at least move them elsewhere.
If you have access to mains electricity you probably don't want to do this and if you do you should get a certified safe supply such as a PC power supply.
Off grid you will be using a Car battery as your supply.
