General Issues:

  • Determine Name (Sustainapedia, Appropedia, or other)
  • Develop Marketing Document
  • Establish target list of organizations, institutions, etc to join the movement
  • Develop plan for partnerships with Service Learning (Pierce) and Social Entrepreneurship movements (Hudnut)

Technical Issues:

  • Determine Domain and Host
  • Determine initial site setup and functionality
  • Potential list:
    • Wiki content and articles
    • phpBB or Drupal Forum
    • Open source social networking?
    • Google Maps integration
    • Flickr integration

May 2007[edit]

General Issues

  • Determine Go-Live Date
  • Marketing push to recruit potential partners/founders/signatories
  • Engage existing partners/founders/signatories
  • Develop business plan
  • Determine intermediate home for non-profit status

  • Determine educational strategy for Fall 2007 courses, encourage posting reports and technologies online.
  • Work with professors to get educational material online.

Technical Issues

  • Keep the site up as it is hit with >300,000 unique users/month ☺
  • Content organization to keep website flow consistent

  • July/August 2007 – Potential Service Learning and Online Portal Meeting (NCIIA, with Joshua Pearce)
  • August 2-7 – Academy of Management Annual Meeting
  • August 22 – Approximate Start of Fall Semester for 2007-08 Academic Year.
  • September 26-28 - Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting - New York City (we need to be online BEFORE this date to ensure we are prepared for the publicity)
