A challenge with a map like this is that some areas have more than one major language, e.g. India has English as a 2nd language, but also Hindi as a major language group (I'm sure more than, say, Indonesian which gets its own color). Perhaps using stripes would help - I've seen this done, with diagonal stripes.
Being pedantic, "Indonesian" is better called either "Malay" (linguistically accurate, but using either is less than ideal, diplomatically) or "Indonesian/Malaysian" - recognizing that they're very similar, but not quite the same language.
Malaysia also has English as a 2nd language - you'd probably get along as well with only English as with only Malay (though most visitors will know English already, and knowing both is better. Of course, it helps show respect and build friendships if you speak some of the national tongue). --Chriswaterguy 15:43, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
