This to reduce the buildup of the ship's weight as water is absorbed and secreted by the crew (water can eg be produced using a rainwater harvester or "water maker"). Plans for a UDD toilet can be found at http://www.susana.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=152&Itemid=145&lang=en As such, a solar chimney needs to be foreseen; this is best placed at the highest deck of the ship. As such, it may also be useful to place the toilet on an upper deck, due to risk of water buildup in the chimney in case of a leak.
