It would be great to have a news feed for Appropedia's front page and/or portals - to offer a more complete experience.

Some ideas taken from a chat with naught101 - needs tidying:

• Getting a wide range of relevant news seems like the challenge.
• talk to WikiNews - they're adaptable and likely to be interested in helping customize something. We need to be specific about what we want, and talk to them about it.
• there are quite a few dedicated environment websites with news feeds
• naught101: it would be good to use that RSS feed extension with a "comment on this" type link to allow people to talk about the issue in question
  • tie in with the forums.
  • at the same time, we're not trying to create activity for the sake of it. I.e. we're not Facebook.
• People could use the Appropedia news feed wherever they want.
