Landing pages are those where new visitors to the site first arrive.

Pages that are deliberately designed as landing pages (mainly portals and the front page) should:

• include the {{get involved}} notice.
• be a good guide to the Appropedia most of interest to the visitor, i.e. act as a site map to relevant categories and highlighted content.
• be attractively designed and easy to navigate.
  • add a suitable picture, perhaps from a Highlighted Project.
  • avoid the table of contents on short pages - use the code if there are 4 or more headers.
