This is a proposed Appropedia guideline. You can edit it, or discuss it on the talk page or at the Appropedia policy discussion page.
For now, this should be considered an essay by one or more Appropedians, and not as a policy or guideline.

The guidelines for an admin on Appropedia are a lot like the requirements for a regular editor (see Appropedia:Policy - just a few points that are a bit stricter and spelled out in a bit more detail, because of the greater privileges that admins have.

  • Civility: We give users the benefit of the doubt before blocking or deleting. The user whose first post is off-topic commercial material perhaps with other spammy indicators like longwinded semi-coherent text: That's a spammer. The user who posts links to their sustainable business in the wrong places - try leaving a friendly note on their talk page (and a {{welcome}} if they haven't been welcomed yet), suggesting ways they can contribute constructively, and edit or revert as appropriate.
