Hi! I'm Maggie Gaunt. I was a part of SOAR, a student-led enterprise at Dollar Bay High School, for all four years of high school (2019-2022). While I was a part of SOAR I gained experience in CNC milling, OpenSCAD, EAGLECAD, leadership, teamwork, design and presentation. I presented a few of our projects at the 2020 (virtual), 2021 (virtual), and 2022 Michigan Tech Design Expos. Now I am a freshman exploring Materials Science and Engineering at Michigan State University.
My profile was created during my time in SOAR for future members to use as a resource. It includes two projects I worked on: Waterproof cameras and 3D printing waterproofing research. I go in depth about how to manufacture a waterproof camera and how to use a pressure tester that I created.
