This device is meant to help 3rd world countries who do not have access to small containers. This device could be used to protect from animals and have a more sanitary place to put items like spices, pills, or any other small valuable object.

Bill of Materials

  1. Food safe filament if using for food. Some food safe filaments can be found here.
    1. Could use other filaments if it is not used for edible items.
    2. All files are located at YouMagine.

Tools needed

  1. MOST Delta RepRap or similar RepRap 3-D printer
    1. Could also use an Ender V3

Technical Specifications and Assembly Instructions

  1. Download all the STL files for the project for the device at YouImagine.
    1. If you want to make a larger container, change the dimensions, download the OpenSCAD files and customize them to however you want.
  2. Print time was 2 hours and 19 minutes with these settings
    1. Standard options in OpenSCAD
    2. PLA filament
    3. 1.32 mm wall thickness
    4. .2mm layer height
    5. 50mm/s speed
    6. 15% infill density
    7. Printing temp of 200 C
  3. Assembly is pretty intuitive. The keyBase is the insert for the bottom holder, while the key file is for any additional storage added into the OpenSCAD file. Normal settings would require 1 keyBase and 1 key print along with the container print.
