Zack Chandler

My name is Zack Chandler, shown on left, and I am a Student at Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, CA.

Major/minor[edit | edit source]

My major is Environmental Resource Engineering and I am currently deciding on a minor as a physical or biological science.

Portfolio[edit | edit source]

For my Engineering 215 class my group, Team Eco-Plumbers, and I have designed and built a Kitchen Effluent Particulate Filter, shown in Figure 1, for CCAT's greywater marsh. The particulate filter is named "The Pizza Box," because its design is based off of a pizza restaurant sink filter.

Team Eco-Plumbers and I wrote a document for the entire design process of The Pizza Box.This Gannt Chartshows a sample of the project planning software during the design process to effectively manage team Eco-Plumbers time. During the Engineering 215 class, we effectively learned how to use Auto CAD. Here is an Auto CAD drawingmade during class. The design process included the use of memos to turn in documents to the project supervisor, Lonny Grafman, and obtain information on the documents turned in. Here is a Sample Memothat I have made. In order to keep track of the time spent in the class I have used spreadsheet software to make a Time Sheetto show: class-work total hours, group-work total hours, and total class hours.
