Who I am?[edit | edit source]

I am a High school student from Ossining High School in New York State, but I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. I am a girl who really likes to study especially science in general;since I was a kid. I like Soccer a little bit too much, and I run Track & Field everyday at my school. I also like literature and I want to take more classes of literature, because I really enjoy reading. What I want to study in college is Graphic Design or something related to Science, because those are the two things that I like the most. I'm a friendly person, but a little bit shy sometimes. However, when you get to know me well, I can be really funny.

I moved to the United States in 2015 and I am still learning English, but everybody tells me that I am doing great! It's a hard adaptation process, and it's been hard to learn the language too, but I try my best everyday to improve in my classes and pronunciation. I am not in English as a Second Language (ESL) classes anymore, which actually means that I already know english well enough to be in my classes without any support classes or any other help.

What I am interested in[edit | edit source]

I am very interested in Polymers and 3D printing. I am hoping to design and carry out an original research project in this field. I am part of a Science Research program in my High School which is a 3 year program designed to support students who want to make their own research. This is my first year in Science Research and I am still looking for a mentor to support me in the course of doing my own research. I do not have any problems in going to the city or different places around New York to have meetings with my mentor. I intend to dedicate the next two summers and the school years to working on a research project investigating polymers, plastics and 3D printing.
