One of my 40' greenhouses

Hi, my name is Susan Wendt, currently I'm a Geography major with a minor in Geographic Information Systems at Humboldt State University. Prior to comming to HSU I managed/operated/owned Greens-N-Things a two acre market garden in El Dorado County and sold my produce at farmers markets. While at the farmers markets I also engaged in public education as a Master Gardner/Composter and Master Food Preserver through Cooperative Extension. Organic gardening and food preservation are my favorite things to talk about.

[edit] Interests in Appropriate Technology

Community Supported Agriculture. The growing, harvesting and preservation of food crops. I would like to explore rain water catchment systems

[edit] Experience in Appropriate Technology

I've built several food dehydrators, electric and solar. I converted a school bus to a house bus and included solar panels. The cabin I'm currently living in I bought as a shell, then wired, insulated and designed the interior, it's kinda cute!]
