Biography[edit | edit source]

Imtiaj Khan received his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) ( February, 2017). His undergraduate thesis was on Electronic Devices. He has attended and presented paper on Optimization of Carbon Nanotube and Silicon Nanowire Based Transistors at [IEEE NANO 2017] ([1])in July 2017 which was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. During his visit to USA, he had the opportunity to meet numerous prolific researchers in his field including Sir James Fraser Stoddart, winner of 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Three months later he attended and presented paper on TENCON 2017 Conferences [2]. After the graduation, he started working on power quality monitoring of renewable energy based system under Dr. Eklas Hossain from Oregon Institute of Technology. One of his work on this topic has been published by IEEE Access [3]. More on this work can be found at the project page [4].

In August, 2018 Mr. Khan presented his paper at IEEE ISITIA 2018 Conference [5].

His primary research interest is in the field of renewable energy, solar cell, PV system etc. His aim is to work on power system and electronic device for humanitarian purpose in future. He is a firm believer of using science and technology for the betterment of the society as well as Green Energy Based Sustainable System.

Since childhood Mr. Khan won numerous prizes in Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad. During his undergraduate study, he stood 4th in Bangladesh Undergraduate Math Olympiad 2013. In 2014, his team was the second runner up in IEEE Programming Challenge 2014.
